Equip. Work. Build.
At City of Grace Church, we believe that as we engage in the ministry objectives of equipping God’s people and working in ministry, God—by His Spirit—will bring forth the outcome of building His church.
In Ephesians 4:11-12, Scripture says, "11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying [building up] of the body of Christ."
We believe that healthy, authentic church growth and maturity are products of God’s grace and cannot be manufactured by man’s natural effort. Our commitment as a church is to maintain the uncompromised preaching of God’s Word and the faithful work of Christ’s ministry as our central focus.
Equip. Work. Build.
At City of Grace Church, our vision is to cultivate a community of disciples who will display God’s glory and the fullness of Christ to the world around us. Through the transformative power of grace, we are hopeful to walk in Christian maturity through deep-rooted faith, sincere love, and godly unity.
Our vision for the church is derived from Ephesians 4:13, where Scripture unfolds the ultimate aim of the local church "till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.”
Daniel Ferebee is a pastor at City of Grace Church in Largo, MD. With deep roots in the DMV, Daniel has a strong desire to see people of all ages, races, ethnicities, and backgrounds in our community come to know the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. By God’s grace and sovereign will, Daniel has been able to serve as a pastor in Upper Marlboro, MD, for the last several years.
He has been married to his wife, Karol, for over 21 years and is the doting father of three children: Isaiah, Leila, and Jordan. Under the loving guidance of his parents, Hilton and Almaz, and by the effectual call of the Holy Spirit, Daniel trusted in Christ as Lord at the age of 13.
Throughout his Christian walk, he has served in many different capacities, including pastoral care and counseling, community outreach, young adult ministry, and men’s ministry. It is Daniel’s delight and honor to serve as a pastor and minister of the Word at City of Grace Church.
Our church bylaws are a living document subject to Holy Scripture. They are not the final authority at City of Grace Church and may be amended if the congregation finds any aspect of the bylaws to be out of step with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The primary purpose of the bylaws is to define the structure and function of church governance or polity.
Our Church’s Statement of Faith lays out our core beliefs as a Christ-centered, Bible-believing church.
Our Church Covenant is a central component of our Pathway to Membership at City of Grace Church. By signing our Church Covenant, a person commits to upholding biblical teachings, fostering unity, and supporting one another as a member of City of Grace Church.
